The House of the Dead Overkill: The Lost Reels is now available on the App Stores and Google Play

Hitting the App Store and Google Play today for $4.99 is the mobile port of SEGA’s The House of the Dead: Overkill, dubbed “The Lost Reels”. Via the App Store & Google Play description comes a slew of features:

Issac’s Back Baby! The House of the Dead Overkill: The Lost Reels heading to IOS & Android phones


At a press event at GDC, Sega revealed House of the Dead Overkill: The Lost Reels, a mobile version of its popular light-gun shooter franchise. The game will maintain the same classic grindhouse horror movie feel as it’s console counterparts with a few new additional changes such as repurposing levels, characters and the ability to tap to shoot. It’s been a while hasn’t it….. friends? I’ve been busy with school and SEGABits for quite a while. But luckly, I’ve purchased The House of the Dead III Perfect Guide from Japan which contains tons of awesome and rare information on the game just for you. This book is hard to find but here on The Website of the Dead, you can view all the never before seen concept artwork and early drafts from the development of The House of the Dead III. Golden Gun is Sega’s latest light gun shooter which utilizes the use of golden gun where players have to defeat the army of the undead and phantoms. The game also features a unique gameplay system where players can “Co-op shot” a enemy to score more points, choose multiple paths, and upgrade weapons & shields with points. This game has quite a few references to The House of the Dead series. In fact, a lot of references to the series. You’ll notice as soon as you play the game, you might bump into a couple of familiar creatures and scenes. Pretty safe to say that it maybe a spin-off. Continue reading

Fans of the Dead: TheDeath’s HOTD Collection

One of our forum members, TheDeath, posted his entire House of the Dead Collection within the forums. I must say that this is the greatest collection I have ever seen in my entire life. He even has some rare HOTD merchandises from different countries. One of them happens to be a House of the Dead manga (which is one of the items I’ve been searching for the past year now). Caravan of the Dead – PlayStation Store Halloween Sale: Get The House of the Dead Bundle & The House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut on PSN


Sony is having a sale on all of it’s horror themed games on PSN. That includes The House of the Dead. The House of the Dead Bundle is on sale for PSN members for $21.99 and PS+ Members can get their hands on the game for $15.39.

Not only that, The House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut is also available to download for $20. You can download the full game on PSN. I recommend it if your in for the goregasm this Halloween.

Halloween is the perfect day to play some House of the Dead with your friends. I wouldn’t eat candy while playing the game if I we’re you. :p
