New Gameplay footage/Spanish Review of The House of the Dead 4

Spanish gaming site Sensession gave fans their own review of the House of the Dead 4 on PSN. From what has been told on the video, their view on the game seems to be very positive and gave it a rating of 7.9/10. Here’s the youtube description translated in english
“Available only via download, The House of the Dead 4 comes to Playstation 3. Identical to the arcade arcade that could play for many months, also includes interesting unlockable extras.
Short as recreation, but with good quality / price (less than 10 euros), the shooter on the rails offers the same mechanics, playability and addiction than their predecessors.”

Personally, I’m digging the chapter 2 music in SPECIAL after watching this video.

The Japanese Playstation website posted brand new screenshots of the PSN version of The House of the Dead 4 a week ago display the first chapter “ESCAPE” and the two chapters from SPECIAL. This game is actually looking pretty good for a perfect arcade port of the orginial game. Tomorrow, the House of the Dead 4 will officially be released on the Playstation Network servers. You all may know who Kate Green is when she was introduced in the HOD series back in 2005. In this edition of FotD, fans of HOD 4 shows some love for this sassy wise cracking AMS agent.

Hello my AMS friends, I hope your enjoying The House of the Dead 4 Demo on your PS3 and prepping up your skills for the full game on April 17th. Today, I want to share my tips and tricks from my experience with the demo.

* Perfect Headshots: There are four headshot ratings ranging from “Good” to “Perfect” Your goal in the full version of the game is to get many perfect headshots as you can than the other ratings in order to obtain a good grade in the final result. A quick way to obtain them is to wait until a creature gets close and prepares to attack like the lab coated zombie for example. Be careful not to get hit or you’ll lose your perfect streak and that also goes for not aiming at their heads.

* Finding items: In the demo, you will be able to find items to increase your score. The items are contained in “Danger” panels, grey box containers, and yellow boxes attached to the wall by near opened slides.

* Alternate Path: There’s a moment where you are surrounded by a group of creatures and game will tell you to throw a grenade at them to clear some space. I recommend not using it for there is a red switch you can shoot in the far left. It will take to a new path to explore. Once you’ve pass the Mickey and labcoat creatures, you will encounter Zobio like creatures. Shoot the door on the left. Inside contains coins and a frog.

* A Secret Room: Before you enter the elevator hall towards the end of the demo, there are two slide doors. Throw a grenade to your right inside of it. After destroying the remaining creatures, you should be able to access the secret room containing 3 coins and a hat.

The House of the Dead 4 Demo is now available to PS+ Members

Today, Sega has released the House of the Dead 4 demo for PS+ members to try out before buying the full game on April 17th. The demo will feature the first chapter “Escape” as James and Kate blast their way through the creature infestation and fight the first boss “Justice (Type 0053)” Tell us your thoughts about the demo on our Twitter, Facebook, or comment below. Japanese House of the Dead official website has been updated with release dates for HOTD 3 & 4

Sega of Japan’s official House of the Dead website has finally been updated after the release of The House of the Dead Overkill Director’s Cut (Extended Cut in US and EU) with the inclusion of The House of the Dead III and 4 for PlayStation Network which both are set for release on 4/19/12 for 1,000 yen in Japan. So AMS of Japan, pump those shotguns and reload your Uzi this month and send those evil experimental creatures back to the source.

Who is this “Mystery Man”?

Who is this “Mystery Man” who appears in the endings of The House of the Dead III and 4. Is he the mastermind behind the events of the entire series? Some say he’s AMS Agent Harry Harris,  who was injured by Strength in The House of the Dead 2.  As you see how the way the Mystery Man walks, he limps on one leg. However, he shows signs of old age. So the rumor of him being the shady AMS Agent maybe false. Others say that he could be Papa Caesàr as he shows sign of age and was shot in the leg by one of the protagonist. Though, he was killed by the prison warden, Clement Darling towards the end of Overkill.


So who could he be? Why did he say human’s have no need of hope and the vital he picked up, what is its “true” purpose? Perhaps, we will find out in the next installment of The House of the Dead.

To obtain this ending in the House of the Dead III, you must fight these bosses in the following order after Chapter 1:Sun, Death, and Fool. Your ranks must consist of more S’s and a full partner rescue.

To obtain this ending in the House of the Dead 4, your ranks at the end must consist of A’s and S’s. Your accuracy must be 70% (Perfect) and final rank overall must be Special or Top Agent.
